Summer Intern Housing

Are you a college student interning or working in Santa Barbara this summer? If so, UC Santa Barbara offers convenient and affordable housing in our newest University-owned apartment complex. San Joaquin Villages is about a mile from the heart of campus, and each three-bedroom, two-bath apartment comes fully furnished.

Eligibility

Intern housing is available for those individuals currently enrolled at a college or university participating in an internship or summer job in the Goleta/Santa Barbara area over the summer.

Rates, Application, and Payment Process

$62/night per person
One bedroom per person, three bedrooms per apartment
30 night minimum (stays can not be shortened to fewer than 30 nights)
Applications are due by noon on June 2, 2025.
Applications will require proof of eligibility to be submitted.
Once your application has been approved, you will receive an email with a payment link. The total for your entire stay will be due in advance, and your space will not be held without receipt of payment. All payments are due by noon on June 9, 2025.
All cancellations must be submitted in writing to conferences@ucsb.edu. If the reservation is cancelled after June 2, 2025, 20% of the total housing fees will be assessed. Cancellations after scheduled check-in date (or "no show") will result in forfeiture of all fees.

Bedrooms

Extra long twin sized bed (bed linen is not provided)
Double closet, two desks, two dressers

Bathrooms

Shower curtain, toilet paper, and wastebasket provided

Kitchen/Living Room

Stainless steel appliances, including a refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave, and dishwasher (cookware and dishes not provided)
Dining table and chairs or counter and stools, depending on apartment setup
Couch, armchair, coffee table and entertainment unit

Meals

Meals are not included in the nightly rate. Each apartment has a kitchen, and there are a number of dining options around campus (summer hours vary), as well as in the local Isla Vista and Goleta communities.

Address and Mail

Intern Housing is located at 750 Storke Rd.
Mail cannot be sent directly to the complex address. Items will be returned to sender.
P.O. boxes are available for rent at the campus University Center Post Office
