Campus offers a versatile array of meeting venues, including classrooms, lecture halls, conference centers, theaters, and a concert hall, with capacities ranging from 10 - 2,000 people. These spaces are perfect for hosting a lecture, workshop, breakout session, special performance, motivational speaker series, and much more. Many spaces have built-in media systems, and technical experts are available to assist you every step of the way. Multipurpose meeting rooms can be outfitted with equipment based on your group's specific needs. Your Conference Manager will work closely with you to find the best meeting spaces for your summer conference.
Gym, Field Space & Outdoor Recreation
Perfect for team building, practice, training, and relaxation, the UCSB Department of Recreation has numerous facilities and instructor-led opportunities available for groups. Facilities include swimming pools, natural grass and artificial turf playing fields, gymnasiums, track, ropes course, gymnastics room, group cycling studio, tennis courts, sailboats, beach recreational equipment (surf, kayak, and SUP rentals/classes), weight training spaces, locker rooms, classrooms, and fitness studios. In addition to Recreation's offerings, many of our residential areas are framed by open lawn space, offering groups convenient and scenic settings for informal gatherings or outdoor breakouts.
Catering Venues
A variety of campus spaces can be transformed to host banquets, receptions, refreshment breaks, poster sessions, and dances. From formal indoor settings to serene outdoor areas that provide views of the campus lagoon, ocean, and historic Storke Tower, find the perfect location for your event. Adventure Programs
The UCSB Department of Recreation can also provide your conference with customized activities such as sailing, yoga, or fitness classes. Our Adventure Programs team is available to assist with planning activities and excursions like coastal hiking and kayak trips. They also provide on-site group games such as archery tag, log rolling, or bean bag toss as well as the ability to enhance any event with the mobile climbing tower.
Residential Meeting Rooms
Our residential properties provide a variety of complimentary meeting and event spaces. Conference programs have access to main lounges, classrooms, floor lounges, recreation rooms, and study rooms. Many of these venues are equipped with self-service projectors, screens, monitors, and whiteboards at no additional charge.
